SUMMARY:MACHO FLAMENCO- BOYS DON’T DANCE\, The Flame Foundation
DESCRIPTION:MACHO FLAMENCO- BOYS DON’T DANCE\, is a mythical journey that explores the role of “machismo” in Flamenco\, challenging the traditional role of the male bailaor (dancer) or the cantaor (singer) who are often portrayed as strong\, forceful\, and independent\, commanding the stage autonomously. Through integrating this macho tradition with the freedom of spirit\, suffering\, and vulnerability often found in the female’s role as Flamenco dancer\, MACHO FLAMENCO hits a unique balance and proffers a fascinating story of one man’s deconstructing his life as an Artist\, embracing his Anima\, and “rising from the ashes” of traditional expectations into a new and unique form of expression through Flamenco. \nTwo Shows: January 30 at 7:30 and Februaruy 1st at 7:30 \nPresented by \n\nGenerously supported by the City of Dallas Office of Arts and Culture\, The Theodore and Beulah Beasley Foundation\, and the Texas Co

SUMMARY:Flamenco Vivo Carlota Santana
DESCRIPTION:Rhythm\, Power and Soul— that’s what makes flamenco so exciting to watch. It’s an experience! With a powerhouse cast of dancers and musicians from the U.S. and Spain\, Flamenco Vivo Carlota Santana brings all that pride and passion to life in Tablao Flamenco. The name “tablao” comes from the wooden floor dancers stomp and glide across\, and these cozy venues are where flamenco truly comes alive — raw\, real\, and right in front of you. \nIt’s not polished to perfection — and that’s the magic of it. Every stomp\, strum\, and soulful cry is full of feeling\, and the artists feed off each other’s energy. You’re not just watching a show — you’re right there in the thick of it. It’s bold\, it’s wild\, and it’s unforgettable. TITAS is thrilled to present Flamenco Vivo Carlota Santana in their Texas debut\, don’t miss this performance! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTITAS/DANCE UNBOUND\n\n\nNothing replaces the LIVE experience! \nThe 25:26 season promises not to disappoint. With bold works from artists around the globe—Spain\, Canada\, France\, Taiwan\, and the U.S.— we’re presenting performances that challenge and inspire. Artists committed to taking artistic risks\, challenging our audiences with these performances\, that’s what makes TITAS so special.
