DESCRIPTION:Celebrate Spring with workshops and a performance at Austin Flamenco Academy \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nEvent Details\nJoin us for a night of world class Flamenco! Don Edwin Aparicio will be joining Austin Flamenco Dance Company! Guest musicians Jose Manuel Tejeda and Celia Corales will be providing the soundtrack on this journey to Spain. Light tapas will be provided\, BYOB! \nParking at Austin Flamenco Dance Academy is very limited so plan to park in the neighborhood or ride share! \nDancers- Edwin Aparicio\, Rocio Terremoto\, Genevieve Guinn\, Aaron Luján\, Gaal Almor plus MORE! \nEdwin Aparicio (Director\, Choreographer\, Principal Dancer) trained with renowned flamenco artists Tomás de Madrid and “La Tati” and debuted at the legendary Casa Patas in Madrid (2001). Mr. Aparicio performed with the Washington National Opera at the Kennedy Center in several productions\, including most recent production of Carmen (2015)\, and with the Washington Ballet in Hemmingway’s The Sun Also Rises (2013). He has appeared as a soloist throughout the United States with ensembles such as the José Greco Spanish Dance Company and has shared the stage with such celebrated artists as Carmela Greco\, Pastora Galván\, “La Tati\,” Domingo Ortega\, and José Luis Rodríguez. Mr. Aparicio is the artistic director and choreographer of ten acclaimed productions\, including Íntimo with Carmela Greco\, which was presented in Washington\, DC\, Philadelphia\, Chicago\, Pittsburgh\, and Portland\, OR; Entresueño\, which marked his New York City debut as a company director. He is a co-founder\, curator\, and featured performer of GALA’s annual Fuego Flamenco Festival\, and is on the faculty of the Washington School of Ballet. DESCRIPTION:  \n\n\nThe Feria de Abril in Texas is back! \n\n\n\n\nJoin us for the fourth edition of Feria de Abril in Texas on Saturday\, April 18\, 2026 at Haras Hacienda. A day full of color\, music\, dance\, and Spanish tradition.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis year you can look forward to: \n\nLive flamenco show with renowned artists\nEquestrian performance\nKids’ area for the little ones\nTraditional Spanish food\nAnd a live paella show by Tasty Paella for the third year in a row!\n\nOn stage we will enjoy the unique voice of Celia Corrales\, the talent of José Manuel Tejada (guitar)\, Jesús Pacheco (percussion)\, and the passion of flamenco dancer Ana María Barceló. We’ll also celebrate the talent of Texas flamenco schools\, whose teachers and students will perform and share their art with us. \nThe Feria de Abril in Texas is a multicultural event that brings together the Spanish\, American\, and Latin American communities of Houston and beyond. More than 600 people will experience this unique celebration in 2026. \nAn event with a cause: \nThis year\, the Feria will support the important work of Habitat for Humanity Montgomery County\, a nonprofit organization that builds and improves homes so more families can have a safe\, decent\, and affordable place to live. \n10% of the event’s proceeds will be donated to support their new development in Magnolia and contribute to their mission in our community. \nDon’t miss the most joyful and meaningful Feria of the year in Houston! \n\n\n\n\n\n\nlive flamenco\, equestrian shows\, Spanish food (like paella!)\, music\, and a kids’ zone\, celebrating Andalusian traditions with Spanish and Latin communities! \n
