About WeFlamenco Fest
Our Story
Founded in San Antonio, WeFlamenco Fest produces original programming and promotes flamenco events that connect artists, audiences, educators, and communities across the region.

WeFlamenco Fest is a cultural platform for San Antonio and Texas, built around flamenco.
Founded in San Antonio in 2010, WeFlamenco Fest began as an annual festival bringing artists, musicians, teachers, and audiences together. Today, it has grown into something larger: a place to present flamenco, cover what is happening now, and preserve its history.
That collective history is reflected in our name: WeFlamenco.
November Festival
The Festival
Every November, WeFlamenco Fest becomes a month-long citywide celebration of flamenco, bringing together artists, studios, companies, venues, and organizations from San Antonio and across Texas.
We produce original programming while also highlighting flamenco events happening throughout the community. Partners can participate by presenting an event, collaborating, sharing resources, or simply being part of the festival.

Editorial
Flamenco 411
Flamenco 411 is our news and editorial platform. Through news, interviews, features, photography, and criticism, it documents the flamenco scene as it happens.
Preservation
The Archive
The Archive looks at where we came from. It brings together photographs, programs, interviews, oral histories, articles, and other materials to preserve the people and stories that built San Antonio’s flamenco history. Explore the History, browse the Artist Index, and hear first-person accounts in the Oral Histories Archive.
Mission
Our Mission
Our mission is to celebrate flamenco as a multicultural art form, explore the histories, migrations, and communities that shaped it, and preserve and document San Antonio’s flamenco history.
Through the festival, Flamenco 411, and the Archive, we connect art, history, and community while supporting the people and organizations carrying flamenco forward. Organizations and individuals can support the festival or contact WeFlamenco Fest about partnerships, events, archives, and community participation.
Leadership
Global Inspiration
Paula Sullivan is a cultural curator and entrepreneur based in San Antonio who uses food, music, and dance to foster human connection. As the visionary behind WeFlamenco Fest, she has transformed an annual celebration into a collaborative, citywide initiative.
Her work is centered on the idea that flamenco can be a gateway to shared emotion, resilience, and survival. When she isn’t producing arts events, Paula curates culinary and stage experiences at Carmens de la Calle.
“When language seems a barrier, we do have the ability to move past discomfort and uncover the journey we all share.” – Paula Sullivan
